Fall is officially in full swing and if you’re anything like me, this last quarter of the year is almost always the busiest and seems to go by the fastest. What’s even more unnerving is knowing that the hustle and bustle will only get worse as the holidays get closer. With busyness comes the urge to take shortcuts and incorporate time-savers into your daily routine as much as possible, food included.
When I get super busy, one of the first things to go is cooking. When I’m running 100mph, it’s so easy to just pick something up, rather than sit and plan out meals, make a grocery list, shop, then cook. Not only can buying fast food be damaging to your wallet over time, but it can also be damaging to your health as most grab n go options aren’t the most “clean”. Even if we’re in a time crunch, we should never compromise our health. For that reason, i have a solution — the crock pot. Crock pots, slow cookers whatever you like to call them, are the perfect solution to taking a shortcut in the interest of time without compromising your health. I don’t know about you, but every time I pull out my crock pot to use it, I’m reminded again and again how freakin’ amazing this thing is and always end up telling myself that I need use it more often. There’s nothing better than coming home after a long day to a house filled with the wonderful aroma of your dinner already done & ready to eat.
